Covering Trade and Globalization

Graduate Journalism Programme of Witswatersrand University, and the Initiative for Policy Dialogue brought Sub-Saharan journalists to a four-day seminar about the expansion of free trade in African countries and its economic impact in the region. Speakers included University of Michigan Professor Robert Howse, the former New York Times trade reporter Elizabeth Becker, and regional academics and journalists including Reuters correspondent Manoah Esipisu, and Trudi Hartzenberg, Executive Director of the Trade Law Center.
