Inauguration of the Mary Ann Faulkner Distinguished Series

April 15, 2024

LBJ School of Public Affairs, The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies

The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies and the LBJ School of Public Affairs welcomed Nobel Prize–winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and former Argentine minister of economy Martín Guzmán. This conversation inaugurated the Mary Ann Faulkner Distinguished Series in Latin American Public Affairs and Politics. The new series is named in honor of Mary Ann Faulkner, former first lady of UT Austin during the period 1998–2006. Her husband, President Larry Faulkner, made the growth of Latin American Studies and Collections at UT a centerpiece of his term.
